We care about your privacy
Eden Community Food Bank obtains clients' personal information in order to qualify their family for our services. Such personal information may include name, address, telephone number, age, family situation, medical information, proof of income and accommodation costs. Eden Community Food Bank will not use this information other than in its assessment and provision of services to a client family. Eden Community Food Bank will not disclose this information to any third parties other than affiliated agencies or service partners that would reasonably expect it, except as required by law.
Donor personal information such as name, address, telephone number &/or e-mail address is used strictly to provide: (a) charitable donation receipts, (b) a thank you for your donation and (3) our newsletter "Food for Thought". If at any time you do not wish to receive our newsletter, simply contact us and we will remove your name. Eden Community Food Bank will not disclose this information to any third parties, except as required by law.
Website information
On our website we may collect information that cannot identify you personally, such as that provided by your web browser to our web server, including such information as the site you linked from, the IP address of the computer you are using, your domain type, and your browser version. Browser information is automatically recorded as part of transmitting information over the Internet. We may use it to help us display information in the best format for you as well as to evaluate the effectiveness of this web site.
We collect information provided by you in an e-mail message addressed to us, and we use this information only for the purpose for which the information was submitted.

Only authorized volunteers have access to client and donor information, based only on their need to deal with the information for the reason(s) for which it was obtained. Safeguards are in place to ensure that the information is not disclosed or shared more widely than is necessary to achieve the purpose for which it was gathered. We keep your information for the time we are providing you with a product or service, and for a reasonable time thereafter.
Legal Obligations
We protect your personal information and adhere to all legislative requirements with respect to protecting privacy. We do not rent, sell or trade our mailing lists. We will never use your address or other personal information beyond providing you with the product, information or service you requested and to keep you informed and up to date on the activities of the Eden Community Food Bank, including programs, services, special events, funding needs, opportunities to volunteer or to give. If at any time you wish to be removed from any of these contacts simply contact us by phone or e-mail and we will gladly accommodate your request.
Although it is highly unlikely, we may be required by law to provide information to law enforcement or judicial authorities in certain cases.
